Brendan Kuny has been released from the active roster by the Edmonton Oil Kings. The 2002-born forward has played 10 games in Edmonton and has two goals and two assists.

Regina Pats defenseman Kyle Walker missed Sunday’s game against Everett after being injured by an awkward knee-on-knee hit by Tri-City Americans defenseman Landon Roberts.

Benson returns for Broncos

Matthew Benson made his return to the Swift Current Broncos lineup after being sidelined since December 28th with an upper-body injury.

Wood joins Saints

Brecon Wood has joined the AJHL’s Spruce Grove Saints for the rest of the season after playing 36 games with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos scoring five goals and adding five assists.

Curle honoured for 1000 WHL games

Calgary Hitmen play-by-play man Brad Curle was honoured for 1000 WHL broadcasts prior to Sunday’s game between the Hitmen and the Swift Current Broncos. His 1000th broadcast actually came back on October 27th 2019.

The Edmonton Oil Kings released the first look at their jerseys for “WHL Suits Up to Promote Organ Donation” night. As our friend Guy Flaming alluded to earlier this week, the jerseys will be inspired by the classic powder blue “Hockey Night in Canada” blazers.
