Hitmen name leadership group

The Calgary Hitmen named their leadership group on Wednesday afternoon. Leading the team as its 28th captain is 20-year-old defenseman Jackson van de Leest (eight goals, 59 assists in 197 games).

Rounding out the group are 19-year-old forward Riley Fiddler-Schultz (18 goals, 32 assists in 122 games), 20-year-old forward Cael Zimmerman (26 goals, 43 assists in 177 games), 18-year-old defenseman Tyson Galloway (five goals, seven assists in 57 games), and 18-year-old forward Sean Tschigerl (20 goals, 20 assists in 90 games)

Giants name leadership group

The Vancouver Giants announced on Wednesday that 19-year-old forward Justin Sourdif (62 goals, 77 assists in 150 games) is their new captain. 18-year-old defenseman Tanner Brown (three goals, 12 assists in 96 games) and 18-year-old forward Zack Ostapchuk (12 goals, 13 assists in 74 games) were named assistants.

The Giants also unveiled new themed jerseys for the remainder of this season. The team is off to a 2-1-0-0 record. DUBNEtwork has more HERE.

CHL Top 10

The Winnipeg ICE move up to #2 in the Canadian Hockey League rankings with their 7-0-0-0 record before last night’s 10-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Edmonton Oil Kings slip to #4 with a 4-2-0-1 record. The 5-1-0-0 Kamloops Blazers move up to #6. The Everett Silvertips were named as an honourable mention as they own a 4-0-0-0 record.

Fasko-Rudas loaned to HC Benatky nad Jizerou

21-year-old forward Martin Fasko-Rudas (35 goals, 37 assists in 170 games with Everett and Saskatoon from 2017-20) has been loaned to HC Benatky nad Jizerou of the Czech2 league from Bili Tygri Librec of the top Czech league.

Fasko-Rudas has played 14 games with Bili Tygri Librec and earned three assists.

Dudas heads to Rostock EC

33-year-old Jesse Dudas (11 goals, 82 assists in 175 games with Lethbridge, Prince George, Swift Current, and Regina from 2003-09) has joined Rostock EC of Germany3.

Dudas has played nine games with Unia Oswiecim of Poland’s top professional league this season. He scored two goals and added six assists.

The Columbus Blue Jackets made Dudas their sixth-round pick at the 2006 NHL Draft.
