Daily Dose of the Dub: Hawryluk scores first two NHL goals, Chartier recalled

Scoring the first two goals for the Panthers on rout to a 6-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, Jayce Hawryluk found himself on the score sheet for the first time. It was his fifth NHL game. A second round pick by the Panthers in 2014, Hawryluk spent time with their ECHL affiliate as recently as last year. The former Brandon Wheat King scored 119 WHL goals and added 159 assists in 232 regular season games.

The former Kelowna Rockets forward had been sent to the Sharks AHL affiliate after registering a goal in 13 games. Since being sent down to the Barracuda Chartier has scored twice and added seven assists in 10 games. In four seasons with the Rockets Chartier scored 110 goals and added 106 assists in 230 regular season games. He was an assistant captain with the 2014-15 team that went on to win the Ed Chynoweth Cup and lose a heartbreaking game in the Memorial Cup final in overtime.

Zabransky was in tough with a strong defense for the Czech Republic team. With two goals and seven assists this season he was on pace to better his stats from last season. Zabransky should be with the Rockets as they take to the ice on December 28th in Kamloops.
