In an update to a story, we brought you earlier, Jason Gordon and Billy Wilms have departed the Prince George Cougars organization to pursue other opportunities. This comes as the Cougars have brought in Leland Mack, Rob Rogers, Tim Mills, David Reekie, and Trevor Sprague.
Gordon had been with the Cougars for over eight years, serving as a Saskatchewan Regional Scout for the team. He is also the Owner and Operator of Hockey 1st Skills Academy in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Wilms had served as the Lower Mainland Regional Scout in B.C. for the Cougars. He is also the Academy Coordinator at the Yale Hockey Academy, an organization he has been involved with since 2004.

Defenseman Joonas Sillanpaa (61 GP, 1 G, 4 A with the Kamloops Blazers) is returning to HIFK’s U-20 team in Finland after the Blazers decided to release him prior to the 2019 CHL Import Draft. Sillanpaa was a second-round pick of the Blazers in last year’s CHL Import Draft. Releasing Sillanpaa allowed the Blazers to select defenseman Inaki Baragano from Switzerland.
