The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Brandon Wheat Kings import draft pick Marcus Kallionkieli to a three-year entry-level contract. The Helsinki, Finland native was selected by Vegas in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. After playing in 58 games with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL and posting 29 goals and 24 assists, the Wheat Kings selected Kallionkieli in the first round of the 2019 CHL Import Draft. Because he has yet to play in the CHL, Kallionkieli is eligible to play in the North American minor pro system next season rather than suiting up for Brandon. It remains to be seen where he will be suiting up for the 2019-20 season.
