In a press release sent to media, the Kamloops Blazers say they have released players to return home amidst concerns around COVID-19.
The Prince George Cougars have decided to send players home to their families until further notice as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prince George Cougars also made the decision to release their players to return home. Like the Blazers, the Cougars leave open the possibility for players to return to Prince George at an undetermined date.
Silvertips to send players home on Sunday morning
Everett Silvertips players are being sent home tomorrow morning, per Silvertips GM Garry Davidson.

Josh Horton over at The Daily Herald of Everett reports Everett Silvertips will be the next ones to go home. According to a text message from GM Garry Davidson, players will start heading home on Sunday with looming travel restrictions being one of the reasons for this decision being made.
ECHL cancels season

In a decision that likely doesn’t bode well for fans hoping to see the WHL resume this season, the ECHL announced late Saturday evening that they have decided to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 season. ECHL Commissioner Ryan Crelin says this decision removes the uncertainty around the season and allows players to return home.
As of this writing, the WHL Board of Governors is slated to meet on Tuesday to discuss their plan for the remainder of the season and we will bring that information to you as soon as it becomes available.
