Moose Jaw Warriors 2003-born forward Josh Hoekstra scored his first WHL goal in last night’s come from behind 4-3 shootout victory over the Regina Pats. Hoekstra scored at 12:57 of the third period to cut the Pats’ lead to 3-2. The Warriors drafted Hoekstra in the fourth round of the 2018 WHL Draft. He was playing in his 23rd WHL game.

Regina Pats 2003-born defenseman Parker Berge scored his first WHL goal when he opened the scoring at 14:43 of the second period against the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Pats went on to lose in the shootout 4-3. Berge was an eighth-round pick of the Pats at the 2018 WHL Draft. Berge was playing in his 14th game.

Vancouver Giants forward Justin Sourdif (130GP, 50G, 59A) has reached the 50 goal milestone for his WHL career. Sourdif was selected by the Florida Panthers in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He is just the 21st player to do so while wearing a Giants jersey.
Alexeyev re-assigned to Hershey Bears

Defenseman Alexander Alexeyev (135GP, 21G, 80A with Red Deer ’16-’19) has been re-assigned to the Hershey Bears following his loan to Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the KHL. In 55 games this season, Alexeyev had eight goals and eight assists. The 21-year-old Russian was selected by the Washington Capitals in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Hughes signs ATO with the Moose
The #MBMoose announced today the team signed forward Ty Pelton-Byce to a one-year AHL contract for the 2021-22 season. He will join the club on an ATO for the rest of the campaign.
Goalie Liam Hughes has also been signed to an ATO.

Goaltender Liam Hughes (110GP, 50-46-12, 3.13GAA, .906sv% with Edmonton, Seattle, Lethbridge, and Winnipeg ’16-’20) has signed an amateur try-out with the Manitoba Moose. Hughes has not played a single game this season, his last game was on March 11, 2020. Hughes was a seventh-round WHL Draft pick of the Edmonton Oil Kings in 2014.
