Vancouver Giants Teddy Bear Toss Preview

The Vancouver Giants (20-6-2-0) and the Victoria Royals (13-11-0-0) will meet for the fifth time this season on Saturday night back at the Pacific Coliseum for potentially the last time. The Giants have gotten the best of the rivalry thus far with a (2-1-1-0) record against the Royals (2-2-0-0). Coming into the match up, Vancouver is first place in what is a bizarre looking BC division. The G-Men have a 14 point lead on the second place Kelowna Rockets who have two games in hand on the Giants while the incoming Royals sit two points behind Kelowna with the Royals having a whopping six games in hand on the Giants. The Giants are 10-2-1-0 against the BC Division this season, it will be interesting to see how the division starts to shape up once all the games played are evened out.

Saturday’s game is the Giants’ annual Teddy Bear Toss game, this event is one that is always fun for fans and is for a good cause. All the proceeds from the night and the bears themselves will be donated to various children’s charities to help put smiles on kids’ faces from all over.

The Giants will also be sporting a festive look on Saturday as they will be wearing these unique “Buddy the Elf” jerseys that fans can bid on with proceeds going to the CKNW Kids’ Fund. Take a look:
