The Vancouver Giants have released their schedule for the coming season. They will only play games against the BC Division and US Division this season as per the WHL’s previous announcement.

Weekend parties at the LEC
31 of the 34 homes game this season occur on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Here is the breakdown:
Monday – 2
Wednesday -1
Friday – 14
Saturday – 9
Sunday – 8
Back to backs galore
This season, the Giants will play 27 back-to-back series. Included in the 27 are five different three games in three nights series. It will be a tough schedule as the team will need to be sharp with the majority of their schedule occurring as back-to-backs.
Not much weekday action
The Giants only play 16 of the 68 game schedule from Monday to Thursday. Giants fans will have to wait until the weekend to experience Giants hockey in most cases.
Home opener and season opener
The Giants will open up their season in Victoria on October 2nd. They will have to wait a week until they play their next game which is their home opener on October 8th versus Prince George.
Month by month breakdown
October 6 games – 4 home, 2 road
November 12 games – 5 home, 7 road
December 13 games – 5 home, 8 road
January 12 games – 8 home, 5 road
February 11 games – 5 home, 6 road
March 12 games – 6 home, 6 road
April 2 games – 2 home
The longest time spent away from home this season is the stretch from November 24th until December 1st. The team will play in Portland, Tri-City, Spokane, and Kelowna before returning to the LEC for a game against Kamloops on December 3rd.
