Blazers First Team in the WHL to win 10 Games on The Road.

The Kamloops Blazers are the first team to win 10 road games in the WHL season.

Nick McCarry had a goal and two assists, while Reese Belton and Quinn Schmiemann contributed a goal and an assist en route to a 4-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds. Dylan Garand made 35 saves in the victory.

Logan Stankoven also scored a shorthanded and empty netter for the Blazers. Jordan Gustafson scored the only goal for the Thunderbirds.

Both teams had 36 shots on goal. Thomas Milic made 32 saves for the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds fall to 11-6-1.

Not only is this the 10th road win for the Blazers, but the number three ranked team in the CHL has now won three road games in a row. They are 10-2 on the road this season and 15-2 overall on the season. They are three points behind the Everett Silvertips in the Western Conference. The Blazers are also in first place in the B.C. Division and lead Kelowna by 12 points.

The Blazers continue their road trip this weekend in Portland to face the Winterhawks on Friday. They then face the Everett Silvertips on Saturday night in the battle for Western Conference supremacy.
