The Regina Pats held the first overall pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft held on Wednesday and officially made Connor Bedard the first overall pick. Bedard has been granted exceptional status and will be able to join the Pats full-time in the 2020-21 season. For a full list of players selected, click here.

Pats acquire Ross from Thunderbirds
TRADE | We have traded Roddy Ross and a eighth round pick to Regina for their 2nd round pick this year, fourth round pick in 2022 and a conditional second round pick in 2024.

The Regina Pats acquired goaltender Roddy Ross and an eighth-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft from the Seattle Thunderbirds for a second-round pick this year, used to select goaltender Scott Ratzlaff from the Lloydminster Bobcats Bantam AAA, a fourth-round pick in 2022 and a conditional second-round pick in 2024. That pick is conditional on the Pats making the WHL Championship in 2020-21. The Pats proceeded to flip the eighth-round pick in this trade to the Kelowna Rockets to complete the Cole Carrier trade.
With the trade, the Pats now have four overagers on their roster for 2020-21: Ross, Carson Denomie, Riley Krane, and Donovan Buskey. The Thunderbirds now have three overages in their system, Keltie Jeri-Leon, Owen Willams, and Hunter Donohoe.
Chiefs acquire Clark from Raiders

The Spokane Chiefs acquired Braydon Clark from the Prince Albert Raiders for a conditional sixth-round pick in 2022. The ’02 born defenseman played 11 games for the Raiders in 2019-20 and was held without a point.
Broncos acquire Halamandaris from Silvertips

The Swift Current Broncos acquired prospect Carter Halamandaris from the Everett Silvertips for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. The Silvertips used that pick to select forward Roan Woodward from the North East Wolfpack Bantam AA.

Brooks Macek (319 GP, 88 G, 168 A with the Tri-City Americans and Calgary Hitmen from 2008-2013) has signed a two-year contract extension with Avtomobilist in the KHL. Last season he had 24 goals and 23 assists in 66 games.
