The Winnipeg ICE have locked up head coach James Patrick for three more years with a new contract extension on Monday. Patrick is in his third year with the ICE organization posting a 31-19-1-0 record through 51 games this season.

The club also promoted Jake Heisinger to the role of Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager. He’s also in his third season with the organization and had been primarily involved in the scouting and player development department. In his new role, he will also oversee hockey operations of the MJHL’s Winnipeg Blues.
Rockets provide injury updates
Kelowna Rockets president and general manager, Bruce Hamilton provided an injury update on Monday for the following players: Devin Steffler, Michael Farren, Matthew Wedman, Nolan Foote, Liam Kindree and Sean Comrie.

The Kelowna Rockets provided updates on some of their injured players on Monday
- Devin Steffler is day-to-day and expected to return on Wednesday against Tri-City.
- Matthew Wedman could be back in the lineup on Wednesday against Tri-City.
- Michael Farren is day-to-day and could return on Saturday against Red Deer.
- Nolan Foote recently traveled to Tampa Bay to be evaluated by the Lightning’s medical staff as he recovers from a lower-body injury. He has been cleared to return to action and could play Saturday vs, Red Deer.
- Liam Kindree is rehabbing a surgically repaired collarbone.
- Sean Comrie will be visiting an orthopaedic surgeon to evaluate a shoulder injury he suffered last week. He may need to undergo surgery.
Garand still out week-to-week

Kamloops Blazers goaltender Dylan Garand won’t be in the lineup this weekend when the Blazers take on Red Deer and Victoria. He has not played since February 1st due to a lower-body injury.
Wild acquire Addison’s NHL rights

The Prince Albert Raiders were the victim of a break-in last month which saw items like championship rings, computers and laptop equipment stolen from the team. The items were recovered the day after the break-in and the alleged culprits are awaiting court dates.

Red Deer Rebels netminder Ethan Anders is the WHL Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season. The 19-year-old netminder has had his fair share of ups and downs this year and this week was most definitely an up with a 1-1-0-0 record, 1.00 GAA and .974 save percentage.
