Prince Albert Raiders forward Parker Kelly has been awarded the Jonathan Pitre Memorial Award at Ottawa Senators development camp for the second consecutive year as the hardest working player. An undrafted free agent, Kelly signed with the Senators in September of 2017. Entering his overage season of junior eligibility, Kelly appears poised to turn pro with the Senators organization in some form next season. Last season with Prince Albert, he had 35 goals and 32 assists in 64 games en route to a WHL Championship with Prince Albert.

The Calgary Flames officially released their development camp roster on Friday. As we previously reported here, Kamloops Blazers defenseman Montana Onyebuchi (66 GP, 5 G, 15 A last season), graduating Edmonton Oil Kings forward Andrew Fyten (244 career GP, 35 G, 48 A with the Oil Kings, Calgary Hitmen, and Swift Current Broncos), Oil Kings forward David Kope (61 GP, 14 G, 14 A last season), are attending the camp. Adding to that, Calgary Hitmen overage forward James Malm (64 GP, 34 G, 43 A split between the Hitmen and Vancouver Giants last season) and Hitmen forward Jackson van de Leest (67 GP, 1 G, 20 last season) are also attending the camp.

Saskatoon Blades graduating defenseman and Team MVP for the 2018-19 season Dawson Davidson is attending Anaheim Ducks development camp. Davidson played 301 games in the WHL with the Blades, Kamloops Blazers and Regina Pats, posting 37 goals and 154 assists.

With Kyle Gustafson and Don Hay signed to new contracts, the Winterhawks turned their attention to their training staff, signing Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach Rich Campbell to a new contract. The 2019-20 season will be Campbell’s 12th with the Winterhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks didn’t waste any time getting forward John Quenneville signed to a two-year contract extension after acquiring him from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward John Hayden on Saturday. Quenneville played 222 games in the WHL, all with the Brandon Wheat Kings. He registered 81 goals and 116 assists and was a part of the 2015-16 Wheat Kings team that won a WHL Championship. He led the playoffs that year with 16 goals in 21 games.

The Allen Americans of the ECHL have announced that forward Spencer Asuchak is returning to the club for his seventh season with the team. Asuchak played 224 games in the WHL with the Tri-City Americans and Prince George Cougars, scoring 49 goals and 46 assists.
