The EC-KAC is in the middle of planning for the coming season of the win2day ICE Hockey League. A central question is whether Jan Mursak will stay at Lake Wörthersee for another season. We should have clarity by June at the latest.
Jan Mursak spent the last three seasons with the Red Jackets and scored 121 points. The Slovenian took over the important position of 1st line center and delivered. Remarkable: Mursak never completed the full basic training period in any season. In 2023/24 he played his most “regular season” appearances with 38 games.
Convinced of the qualities
Even at 38, the former Slovenian national team striker still has a lot to offer. KAC General Manager Oliver Pilloni is convinced of the center forward’s qualities. They want to start the new season with the Slovenian, but a decision is still pending.
The end of Mursak’s career has often been discussed, but recently it has looked more like another season with the Red Jackets. But a final decision won’t take too long to arrive: “There should be clarity by June at the latest,” Pilloni told the “Crown newspaper“.
