With Rasmus Reijola, the Hungarians have a clear number 1 between the posts, and with the young Beni Halasz they have now found the addition to the tandem. A few years ago he was active with the Black Wings Linz.
After a stay in Linz in the USA
Between 2017 and 2020, the Budapest native gained experience in the Black Wings Linz organization and was on the ice for the Steel Wings Linz in the Alps Hockey League in 2019/20. He then moved to the USA, where he spent two years in the NAHL and three years at college. Last season he only played two games for the Idaho Steelheads in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
Return to Hungary
At the age of 24, Beni Halasz is now returning to his homeland and joining the ICE club from Szekesfehervar. For the goalkeeper, who also played for the Hungarian national team, the role of backup netminder awaits.
