The next departure in the ICE Hockey League is official: goalkeeper Alex Caffi is leaving Pioneers Vorarlberg and continues this season in the UK. The 35-year-old veteran is moving to the with immediate effect Belfast Giantswhere he will finish the 2025/26 season.
Caffi has been between the posts for the Pioneers since 2022 and completed more than 95 appearances in the ICEHL during this period. The native Italian with an Austrian passport brought a lot of international experience to Vorarlberg and has been a reliable member of the squad in recent years.
After the Pioneers missed the playoffs and were already eliminated from the competition, the 35-year-old now has the opportunity to continue the current season on the island.
