Ferencvaros Budapest scores important points in the fight for the top 10 in the country. The Hungarians win against the Pioneers 2:4. Jussi Tammela became the match winner with a hat trick!
With a clear 4-2 away win at the Pioneers Vorarlberg, FTC-Telekom also won the fourth duel of the season with the Vorarlbergers and remains in the race for the pre-playoffs.
After falling behind early on, the Hungarians reacted promptly: Jussi Tammela equalized at the start of the second third (21:13). In an intense game, the guests acted more efficiently, used their chances consistently and took the lead for the first time through Aaro Kestilä (36:58).
The Budapest team didn’t let themselves be deterred by the 2-2 scoreline. Tammela made it 3:2 (49:13) with his second goal before fixing the final score at 4:2 with an empty net goal (58:50). Thanks to structured defense, strong penalty killing and higher quality finishes, FTC-Telekom deservedly secured three points. The gap to their local rivals from Székesfehérvár is now only four points, and there is also a Hungarian derby on the schedule.
