Now it’s official: Finnish goalkeeper Christopher Gibson is leaving HC Bozen with immediate effect. As the club announced on social media, the 33-year-old has drawn the release clause contained in his contract.
This clause enabled him to change in the event of an offer from the German Ice Hockey League – and that is exactly what is happening now. Gibson will spend the current season in the top German league German Ice Hockey League (DEL), continue.
The goalie has stood for the past two months HCB South Tyrol between the posts and wore the white and red jersey in the ICE Hockey League. Gibson played a total of four games for the Foxes. He has also already played eight NHL games. Now his engagement in Bolzano ends earlier than planned.
