Brady Shaw will again be part of HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie. The Canadian moves from Ferencváros back to the Inn.
Brady Shaw will play again for HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie. The club and the 33-year-old Canadian agreed to return to Tyrol. Brady Shaw was already involved with the Sharks in the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons. In the first year, Brady enjoyed great success with the HCI. With third place in the basic round, they qualified for the Champions Hockey League, and Shaw himself was voted MVP of the win2day ICE Hockey League. The following year, after successes in the CHL, it came to an abrupt end. After internal incidents, HCI and Shaw parted ways. Now the Canadian is making his second attempt in Innsbruck.
HCI General Manager Günther Hanschitz:
“A player of the caliber of Brady Shaw helps every team, but we didn’t make the decision to re-sign him from the hip. It was preceded by a long process with many discussions internally and with Brady. We know what he can do as a player and hope that we can build on our old shared successes with him.”
Brady Shaw:
“My wife and I are really happy to be part of the Haie family again. I would like to thank Günther Hanschitz, Markus Knoll and the entire board for their trust. My thanks also go to Florian Pedevilla, who has repeatedly reached out and maintained the dialogue over the last two years. Many thanks also to Ryan Kinasewich. The conversations and the trainer’s plan made the decision easy for me. To the fans: Thanks to you, Innsbruck is a very special place for me. I can do it I can’t wait to give everything for you on the ice. I firmly believe in the future of this club and look forward to getting involved and getting us back to the top.”
