Nicholas Kraus
ends his active career. The striker was an integral part of the team for many years
ICE Hockey League and stood by at last
EC Salzburg under contract.
Career path via Salzburg, Cologne and Klagenfurt
Kraus began his ice hockey training in Austria before working at the Red Bull Hockey Academy and the
Cologne EC
completed. In 2015 he returned to Austria and joined the
EC-KAC to. There he developed step by step into an established ICEHL player and stayed with the club for almost a decade.
Kraus finally moved to Salzburg for the 2024/25 season and won the championship title there again at the end of his career.
Almost 300 games in the ICEHL
In total, Kraus played 299 games in EBEL and ICEHL. The winger scored 20 goals and 37 assists for a total of 57 scorer points. He played his strongest offensive season in 2023/24 with seven goals and 13 assists for the KAC.
Kraus was also regularly part of successful teams in the playoffs. He had 16 points in 76 postseason games.
Three championship titles in Austria
During his career, Kraus won a total of three championships. With the KAC he won the EBEL title in 2018/19 and the ICEHL championship in 2020/21. 2024/25 followed
EC Salzburg another title win.
Missions for Austria
In addition to his club positions, Kraus also played games for
Austria men’s national ice hockey team. He made his national team debut in 2022 and was also in the Austrian squad for the 2025 World Cup.
