After accusation of mockery: Final decision made!

In the much-discussed case Gerald Ressmann The final verdict has now been made: The appeals court lifted the three-week ban previously imposed on the Althofen coach. This means that the trainer can stand on the boards again as usual – this is reported by the “Kronen Zeitung”.

In the 23-2 victory in the Division I quarterfinals against Leoben, Ressmann took the goalkeeper off the ice when the score was 12-0 and allowed six field players to continue playing. The Styrians viewed this measure as a “mockery of the opponent” and filed a complaint. In the first instance, the coach was then suspended for three weeks.

However, after an objection, the case ended up before the Appeals Senate. After a new hearing and examination of all circumstances, Ressmann was now acquitted of all allegations. At the same time, the original judgment of the disciplinary commission was overturned.
