ICEHL playoffs: Pustertaler Wolves start the semifinals with a shutout success!

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal won the first semi-final game of the series against Olimpija Ljubljana 3-0.

In the first section, the guests from Ljubljana had a little more of the game. However, HCP goalie Eddie Pasquale – like his counterpart – could not be overcome in the first section. In the second half the hosts found their way into the encounter much better. In the 35th minute, Cole Bardreau deflected a shot from Adam Alquist on the power play to make it 1-0.

In the final third it was again a power play from Pustertal that made it 2-0: After some impressive preparatory work from Austin Rueschhoff, Henry Bolwby passed it across to Rok Ticar, who made the preliminary decision. Ljubljana took too many penalties in the final minutes to find their way back into the match. The Slovenian guests put everything on one card early on and ultimately had to admit defeat 3-0 after an empty net. Pustertal remains undefeated in the 2026 playoffs – Pasquale celebrated his first shutout in his fifth playoff game of the current campaign.
