Peter Schneider has been playing for EC Red Bull Salzburg for five years. The 35-year-old striker played a key role in shaping Salzburg’s game and paved the way for many of the Red Bulls’ successes. Now he has extended his contract with Salzburg!
Last season he again showed his powerful playing style, but had to work harder to score goals due to the increasing competition in the win2day ICE Hockey League; In 47 games including the playoffs he had 10 goals and 18 assists. That didn’t stop the four-time league champion from always fighting until the last second and leading the team with his highly professional attitude.
Schneider is still one of the best Austrian strikers and will continue to be an important cornerstone in the Red Bulls’ game next season. The father of two – the second child was born in the spring shortly before the start of the playoffs – also wants to be a part of the Austrian national team and help at the World Cup in May in Switzerland to continue Austria’s upward trend of the last few years, in which he has also played a large part.
