The
EC Red Bull Salzburg
has to let go of two young players:
Maximilian Wurzer and
Maximilian Kirchebner
will leave the club.
The 22-year-old striker Wurzer made 4 appearances in the 2025/26 season, but did not score a point. Despite the short playing time, he is considered a talented offensive player.
Defender Kirchebner (20 years old) received a little more trust and played 18 games in which he recorded 1 assist. The young defensive player showed solid approaches to building up the game and has potential for the future.
For both players, the farewell means the chance for more ice time and development at new stations. Whether these are within the ICEHL remains to be seen.
