Andreas Kristler before returning to
EC VSV could stand. The 35-year-old striker had only recently separated from the
Black Wings Linz
said goodbye and announced that he wanted to continue his career for at least one more season.
Kristler can look back on a long and consistent career: The East Tyrolean native has already completed 18 professional seasons and has played over 740 games in the ICE Hockey League. He was on the ice for Linz alone in nine seasons and was a reliable two-way striker there for years.
However, his career began in Villach. Between 2006 and 2011 he played for the Adler and recorded 53 points scorer in 148 games. A return to his parent club would therefore have seemed obvious.
But nothing is likely to happen from that: According to a report in the “Kleine Zeitung”, Kristler’s commitment to VSV is currently not an issue.
