Exciting developments could be on the horizon in the summer. As the ““Little newspaper” reports, the 24-year-old added
EC-KAC via an exit clause for abroad.
The Austrian national defender returned to the KAC in 2024 and immediately developed into an important pillar in the defense. In the 2024/25 season he recorded a strong 23 points (2 goals, 21 assists) in 47 games, plus 7 points in the playoffs. He also confirmed his role in 2025/26 with 24 points (2 goals, 22 assists) in 48 games.
In addition to his size and reach, Nickl brings with him, above all, international experience: positions in Sweden (including
Rögle BK), North America and appearances for the Austrian national team make him interesting for clubs abroad.
It is currently still unclear whether there will actually be a change.
