The speculation surrounding the coaching question at HC Bozen continues and one name is particularly persistent: Christian Borgatello.
As already reported, the 44-year-old is currently linked with a possible commitment to the ICEHL club. After the disappointing end to the season and the public criticism of head coach Doug Shedden, there could be a change in the coaching position in Bolzano in the summer.
Now Borgatello himself has commented on the emerging rumors. The successful coach told “SportNews” he was surprised by the discussions surrounding him: “I was surprised by this rumor myself and only found out about it from the newspaper. But I’m open to everything. In the end, the decision is mine.”
The current head coach of HC Meran continues to cause a sensation in the Alps Hockey League. He and his team are sensationally in the semi-finals and were able to eliminate ICEHL dropouts HC Asiago on the way there.
