The ice hockey world is mourning
Jacob Winterton
. The 25-year-old Canadian died after battling cancer, causing great sadness among former teammates and fans.

Winterton played his junior year with the Oshawa Generals, where he made a name for himself with commitment and consistency. He then played for the University of Guelph for several years, combining studies and competitive sports at a high level.

Over the course of his career, he also shared the ice with well-known ICEHL players, including:
Giordano Finoro

(formerly Asiago and Bozen) as well
Allan McShane
and

Giovanni Vallati

(both Asiago). According to the Canadian media, within the team he was considered a reliable teammate who was valued in the locker room.
