led.
After an overall disappointing season, Västerås had to play against newly promoted teams in the decisive play-out
IF Troy-Ljungby
compete. In the best-of-seven series, however, the team left nothing to be desired and won confidently 4-1.
In the decisive fifth game, Komarek once again proved his class: in the narrow 4:3 win, the former Salzburg crack contributed two goals and was therefore the decisive man on the ice.
The ÖEHV export presented itself as an absolute top performer throughout the entire series. In five play-out games he collected a strong eight points – four goals and four assists – and thus played a significant role in Västerås being able to avoid relegation. What will happen next for the striker after this season is still unclear. The fact is: his contract is expiring.
