In the series between the EC-KAC and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 everything is balanced. After four games the score is 2-2, all previous games have been won by the home team. Game five will take place in Klagenfurt on Monday, with the winner securing the first match pucks. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. The entire game can be seen in the live stream on www.on.orf.at, ORF Sport+ will start broadcasting live around 8:00 p.m.
So far it has been the series of home teams: While the KAC celebrated two clear home wins (3:0, 8:3) and presented in each case, Fehérvár always managed to equalize with narrow successes (2:1, 3:2/OT). The winner of Monday’s game will secure two match pucks.
The KAC has had to deal with a 2-2 series score 16 times in the club’s history – eight of these series ended positively for red and white, just as many negatively. Game five was always of crucial importance: the winner of this game later won the series in 13 out of 16 cases. The EC-KAC has never lost a home game with a score of 2:2 in 60 minutes – five wins compared to two overtime defeats (against HCB Südtirol in 2018 and EC Salzburg in 2024). Game five against Fehérvár starts on Monday at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ORF via stream on www.on.orf.at and live on TV on ORF Sport+ from around 8:00 p.m.
In game four, Anže Kuralt received a 5-minute penalty plus a game-misconduct penalty, but this did not result in another suspension. The Slovenian was fined 200 euros.
