ICEHL preview: KAC reaches for match pucks at Fehervar AV19!

A quarterfinal in the win2day ICE Hockey League is still underway – and there are at least two games left. The EC-KAC is currently leading 2-1 in the series against Hydro Fehérvár AV19.

After only home wins in the first three games, the Red Jackets can secure match pucks with an away win on Saturday. Game four of the series will be broadcast live on Sporteurope.tv from 7:15 p.m. – also with German commentary.

The EC-KAC celebrated a brilliant 8:3 home win on Thursday and made it 2:1 in the best-of-7 series. The first two games also ended in home wins: Klagenfurt opened the series with a 3-0 shutout, followed by a 2-1 home win for Fehérvár. After three goals in each of the first two games, eleven goals were scored on Thursday.

Nick Petersen in particular put his stamp on the game: The Canadian shone with a 6-point game. For the first time in league history, a player achieved six points in a postseason game – five points had previously been the record.

In Székesfehérvár, however, the KAC presented itself too harmlessly offensively in the second quarter-final game and consequently lost the game. In the regular season, however, the Red Jackets won both away games in Hungary (2:1/SO, 6:3).
