VSV striker Adam Helewka finished the 2025/26 season as the Adler’s internal top scorer: with 27 goals and 22 assists, he led the Adler’s offense and also scored a goal in the last game, despite the 2:6 home defeat against the Graz99ers, which meant the end of the season for Villach. Before the season, Helewka signed a performance-based two-year contract. The decision now has to be made as to whether the club will take up the option for another year. This decision depends on both the club and the player himself, as the “Kleine Zeitung” reports – there has not yet been any official confirmation of the extension.
Sports director Herbert Hohenberger signaled interest in using the option a few weeks ago, so Helewka will probably continue to play a central role at VSV in the coming season.
