The Graz99ers confidently prevailed against EC VSV in the quarterfinals of the ICE Hockey League and clearly won the series 4-0.
Striker Manuel Ganahl emphasized to the “Kleine Zeitung” that the team is far from reaching its goal after the quarter-final success: “It’s an important step, but we just want to go far.” With the secure semi-finals and the CHL ticket for the coming season already secured, the first goals of the season have already been achieved for the Graz99ers.
Ganahl also emphasizes the importance of calm and focus in the play-offs: “You have to keep your emotions under control, not be too exuberant in joy or anger. A win is just a win, and it’s right back on.”
The Graz99ers are now waiting for their semi-final opponent – possible opponents are Fehervar, Ljubljana or Pustertal.
