Nice gesture from KAC striker Fraser after Murray drama!

After the KAC’s clear 3-0 win against Fehervar, for once the focus wasn’t just on sport. Immediately after the final siren, a scene took place on the ice that showed that even in the tough play-off business, humanity can come first.

KAC striker Matt Fraser spoke to Fehervar professional Darren Archibald immediately after the end of the game. Both have a long-standing acquaintance with teammate Jordan Murray, who recently caused great concern after a collapse.

“Fraser came to me to ask how I was doing. I give him credit for that,” Archibald later told the Kronen Zeitung. The situation surrounding Murray hit everyone involved hard. It means even more when an opponent seeks personal contact in such an emotionally charged moment.

Fraser himself also emphasized the special bond within the ice hockey world. It’s a small community in which everyone looks out for each other. “When something like that happens, it’s not just about ice hockey,” said the KAC striker.

While the quarter-final series goes into the next round today and both teams meet again in a sporting way, this moment shows that in some moments there are more important things than sport.
