Andreas Kristler’s farewell to the Steinbach Black Wings Linz has only just been history, and the East Tyrolean native has probably found a “new” employer. He is likely to be drawn to an old place of work.
The 35-year-old spent no less than nine seasons with the Upper Austrians, but the collaboration ended after the end of the season. It has already been reported that Kristler would like to play at least one more season, but it should now be clear where he will continue his career.
The striker, who was born in Lienz, already has 18 full seasons under his belt, and he will probably complete the 19th at an old place of work. His professional career began many years ago at Villacher SV and that is exactly where the 743-time ICE crack could go again, according to the “Kronen Zeitung”.
Kristler made his debut for the Adler in 2006 and played for the Draustadt team until 2011, collecting 53 points in 148 games this season. However, confirmation from Villach is still pending.
