The tradition lives on: The international invitation tournament “Red Bulls Salute” is in its 19th edition and is once again inviting top international teams to Zell am See-Kaprun from August 21st to 22nd for the first ice hockey highlight of the new season. Advance ticket sales for the tournament are now open.
Four participants from four nations
The tournament format with four strong international participants has proven itself. In August 2026, two teams from major European ice hockey nations will once again be at the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See alongside the hosts EC Red Bull Salzburg and EHC Red Bull Munich: EHC Biel-Bienne from Switzerland and HC Dynamo Pardubice. As in the last three years, the game will be played in the KE KELIT Arena, the home of EK Die Zeller Eisbären, which offers space for 2,600 spectators.
Red Bull duel on the first match day
While the two Red Bull teams from Salzburg and Munich have always played the semi-finals on the first match day parallel to each other, this year there will be a big brother duel in the semi-finals (August 21st, 7:30 p.m.). The first semi-final (4:00 p.m.) will be played by EHC Biel-Bienne and HC Dynamo Pardubice. The winners of the two semi-final games will fight for tournament victory in the final on August 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Before that, the game for third place will take place at 3 p.m.
