With Niklas Bretschneider, the Haie have signed a versatile striker who brings a lot of experience. The 26-year-old played almost 250 times for the Black Wings Linz in the win2day ICE Hockey League between 2020 and 2025, and last season he strengthened the Adler from Kitzbühel in the AlpsHL. Niklas can also boast 15 games for the Austrian national team.
The entire HC TIWAG Innsbruck organization is looking forward to welcoming Niklas as a shark to the TIWAG Arena soon.
Niklas Bretschneider:
“I’m very happy that I can play in the ICE Hockey League again and show that I belong here. I already know a few players in Innsbruck and have heard very good things about the city and the club. I’m looking forward to this opportunity. I have the feeling that the club is taking a positive step in the right direction with a few good new signings and contract extensions.”
HC TIWAG Innsbruck head coach Ryan Kinasewich and co Florian Pedevilla:
“We were in contact with Niklas throughout the season and are ultimately happy that we managed to win him over. He is hot and hungry to play in the top league again. Niklas always works hard, is a great team player and a annoying opponent – exactly what we need in the future.”
