At the same time, the Capitals coach referred to his team’s difficult personnel situation. Several players went into the game injured and important defenders were also missing.
“All the import defenders who were brought in before the season were not available to us today,” said Constantine.
Despite the failures, he was proud of his team’s commitment: “It’s not easy when you play three games in five days. In terms of energy and passion, they gave us everything.”
The coach also highlighted the opposing goalkeeper: “We had some good chances, but their goalie made a few strong saves.”
