Both Graz 99ers Planning for the coming season is already underway in the background – and one of the central questions concerns the future of goalie Max Lagace. The Canadian proved to be an absolute support in his first season in Styria and thus became the focus of the sporting leadership.
Sports director Pinter recently told the “Kronen Zeitung” that they would like to see the goalkeeper continue to wear the 99ers jersey. Those responsible are therefore working on a solution to keep the 31-year-old in Graz beyond the season.
Lagace moved from Sweden to Graz before the current season. The former NHL keeper, who made a total of 20 appearances in the best league in the world, brought international experience and routine with him to the Murstadt.
In 35 appearances for the 99ers so far, the Canadian has impressed with a strong catch rate of 92 percent. In addition, there is an average goals conceded of just 2.01 goals per game. Just yesterday in the game against VSV he managed a shutout!
