The Graz99ers have a new coach on the board with the signing of Dan Lacroix. The Canadian was Graz’s preferred candidate to achieve their ambitious goals.
Pinter: “World-class professionally and personally”
Sports director Philipp Pinter highlighted the qualities of the new head coach to the Kronen Zeitung. He emphasized that they were keeping an eye on the experienced Lacroix (twelve years assistant coach in the NHL) because of his CV: “We didn’t even know whether he was even interested in a new coaching job again.” But the Canadian said yes and Pinter enthuses: “As well as World class both professionally and personally… Whether from players, coaches or managers, whether from the NHL or from Europe – you only hear the very best from him.”
Jerich: “Bring championship title to Graz”
The club management has high hopes for the signing of the “caliber of a coach” Lacroix. 99ers President Herbert Jerich sees the big goal of the season within reach: “Dan Lacroix is exactly the caliber of coach that we imagined and what we were looking for. With him, we should all achieve our goal, perhaps even that To bring the championship title to Grazmade possible.”
Whether the people of Graz will experience an upswing with the new main trainer will be seen in the coming weeks. So all three ICEHL clubs that dismissed their coach early have now found a new head coach!
