Contract extended: Blaz Tomazevic has clarified his future!

The Zeller Eisbären are extending Blaz Tomazevic’s contract. The native Slovenian, who has been getting better and better recently, will stay in Pinzgau until the end of the season!

Tomazevic, who was originally only signed until mid-November to bridge Nick Huard’s injury, is extending his working paper with the Zeller Eisbären. The 1.81 meter tall right-handed shooter impresses with his game intelligence and has recently found his way around Marcel Rodman’s system better and better.

After the long-term injury of Ethan Szypula, who will only be able to return around Christmas, those responsible for the sport have decided to continue the commitment of the hard-working, creative top ice skater. “We’ve already had to deal with some painful injuries this year, but they haven’t changed our ambitious goals. In the next few weeks, Blaz will replace the injured Ethan Szypula. If everything goes well and we have all the imports fit again after Christmas, Tomazevic will remain in the squad as a surplus import in order to be prepared for all eventualities in the second half of the season.”

The energetic forward with a lot of ICE Hockey League experience is happy about staying in Zell am See:

Eisbären striker Blaz Tomazevic: “I’m very happy to stay in Zell am See. The team is great and the players have welcomed me warmly. I want to continue to support the team for the rest of the season and hope that we can win the championship together again. I can’t wait to play the next games in front of the best fans in the league.”

Eisbären head coach Marcel Rodman: “Blaz joined the team to help us with some injuries. He needed some time, but has now found his form. Since we are still dealing with a lot of injuries, we have decided to keep him for the rest of the season. He has become an integral part of our team both on and off the ice and we are very happy to have him with us until the end.”
