Graz99ers interim coach Philipp Pinter is satisfied with his team’s performance after the 4-3 win in Budapest.
“The boys earned this victory and that was mentally very important,” the 40-year-old told the “Kleine Zeitung”. Despite a “certain uncertainty” that was noticeable after the last few games, he sees the success as a “good step in the right direction”.
Pinter praised his team’s tactical discipline: “We didn’t try to use the crowbar, it was a good performance tactically.” However, the coach criticized the lack of defensive consistency in certain moments. He demanded more commitment from his players when moving backwards: “If things don’t go well offensively for a few players, okay – but then you have to work hard defensively and control the sticks.”
