Colin Furlong is taking the next step in his career and moving to the ICE Hockey League. The 33-year-old goalie was officially introduced by HC Pustertal on Friday and is returning to an old place of work.

Furlong has been active for the Rittner Buam for the past three years and was one of the strongest goalkeepers in the Alps Hockey League. In a total of 149 games, the Canadian native impressed with a catch rate of almost 93 percent and 13 shutouts. Just a few days ago, the Rittner Buam announced his departure.
At HC Pustertal, Furlong will form the goalkeeper duo together with regular goalkeeper Eddie Pasquale. For the experienced goalkeeper, it is also the first permanent position in the ICEHL.
Old acquaintance
However, Bruneck is not entirely new for Furlong. The goalkeeper was already under contract with HC Pustertal between 2018 and 2021 and gained his first experience in South Tyrolean ice hockey there. This was followed by two years at HC Gröden and a move to Ritten.
Thanks to his Italian passport, which he has had since 2025, Furlong was recently included in the extended squad of the Italian national team.
