No new contract: 165-fold ICE crack back on the market!

The Slovenian Luka Maver celebrated his ICEHL debut in 2022. After four seasons, the striker is now facing a change.

After a total of eight years in the USA, where Maver also spent five seasons at the American International College, the Ljubljana-born Crack returned to Europe in 2022. Since then he has stormed in the multinational win2day ICE Hockey League.

Two years in Vorarlberg, two years in Linz

Maver signed with the Pioneers Vorarlberg and played a total of 93 games this season for the Feldkirch team. After two years in which he collected 41 scorer points for the Pioneers, the collaboration ended.

The Slovenian national team player signed a contract with the Steinbach Black Wings Linz and scored twelve goals and 21 points in his first year on the Danube. In the past season, Maver struggled with injuries and only played 27 games in the Upper Austrian uniform.

No further cooperation

The Stahlstadters did not offer the 28-year-old center a new contract, so Luka Maver can look for a new employer. Remarkable: Travis Barron, who was Linz’s second best points collector in 2025/26, also did not receive a new contract. He has already found a new employer.
