A few years ago the Canadian Felix Girard stormed in the EBEL/ICEHL. After a year-long stint in Canada, the attacker returns to Europe.
In the 2019/20 season, Girard played in the then Erste Bank Eishockey Liga for the first time when he played 36 games for Fehervar AV19. With nine goals and 21 assists, he was definitely impressive offensively. But after the end of the season they parted ways and Girard moved to the Inn, where he played great in the uniform of HC Innsbruck. He scored 41 points in 46 games, making the center the third best Sharks scorer behind Daniel Ciampini (59) and Braden Christoffer (51).
Scandinavia as a second home
But the 32-year-old also left Innsbruck after just one season. In the following four years he played for the Swedish club IF Björklöven and the Norwegian club Frisk Asker before he left for home at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Girard spent the past season at LNAH club Jonqiuere Marquis, but now his Euro comeback is just around the corner. Capitals striker Jeremy Gregoire’s junior teammate signed with Ligue Magnus club Bordeaux. Former Black Wings Linz defender Maxim Lamarche is also under contract there.
