The former top scorer of the then EBEL and today’s ICE Hockey League is back on the market:
Brendan O’Donnell
will be without a club again after the end of the season.
The 33-year-old Canadian moved around Europe last season and most recently played for the
Adler Mannheim in the DEL. O’Donnell had previously started the season with HC Kometa Brno in the Czech Republic.
Dominant season in Dornbirn
The striker is still well remembered by many fans, especially in Austria. In the 2018/19 season, O’Donnell played for the then EBEL club
Dornbirner EC made a big impression and was crowned the league’s top goalscorer with 33 goals in 43 games.
With a total of 53 points, the left-shooter was one of the strongest offensive players in the entire championship at the time and was therefore recommended for higher tasks in European ice hockey.
Successful years in Germany
After his strong season in Dornbirn, his path finally took him to the DEL via the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Especially with the
Düsseldorfer EC
O’Donnell impressed as a reliable scorer.
In a total of four DEL seasons, the Canadian collected a strong 161 points in 177 games. He also showed offensive qualities last season despite changing clubs. Now the Adler Mannheim have announced their separation!
