At the EC VSV there will be comprehensive personnel and structural changes both in the board and in the sporting organization with immediate effect – this is reported by the “Kleine Zeitung”.
In addition to this central change, Thomas Pfeifer is also leaving the board for time reasons. The background is the positive development of his company, which will require his full attention in the future. Marc Baumann will take over his previous tasks in the youth sector.
There is also a change at the top of the club: the previous chairman, Martin Winkler, is stepping down from his position and will concentrate on his role as managing director of EC VSV GmbH and on his new role as financial director. Manfred Herzog, who is known as co-owner of the Engel Pharmacy in Villach and has been closely associated with the association for many years, was appointed as the new chairman.
Regarding the restructuring, Winkler explained that Pfeifer’s professional obligations no longer allowed him to continue to perform his role. At the same time, he was pleased to have gained an experienced personality from the private sector in Herzog.
In the sporting area, it was decided by mutual agreement to release Herbert Hohenberger from his previous role. In the future, he will devote more time to other tasks, including team management, acquiring sponsors and looking after existing partners. The sporting management will initially be taken over by the coaching team together with the management.
