At the
EC VSV There is a change in the position of goalie coach in the fighting team’s coaching team. After the departure of
Patrick Machreichwhose contract was not extended after six years, the Adler have now presented a successor.
Avsenik takes over the goalies
The new role takes over
Urban Avsenik. He used to be a goalkeeper for the VSV youth team and therefore knows the club very well.
Experience from several positions
Avsenik already has some coaching experience. He worked, among others, at HDD Jesenice, at Kitzbüheler EC in the
Alps Hockey League
as well as in the environment of the Slovenian national team.
Collaboration and training
He was also influenced in the past by Markus Kerschbaumer, the former VSV goalie coach. The collaboration with ex-VSV head coach Marco Pewal in the 2024/25 season at Kitzbüheler EC was also successful.
