The past season in the ICEHL once again showed how much individual quality there is in the league – even beyond the top stars that have already been committed. Some players were able to play their way into the limelight in the regular season as well as in the playoffs and significantly increase their market value. Particularly interesting: Several of these players are currently without an officially confirmed contract for the coming season and are therefore potentially available. Below we take a closer look at selected names that have impressed with strong performances. Click here for part 1, part 2 and part 3!
Josh Currie (C)
The Canadian striker played for the Graz99ers in the ICEHL for the first time in the 2025/26 season and played 44 games in which he scored 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists). Currie moved from the DEL from the Kölner Haien to Graz in the summer of 2025 and brought with him a lot of experience from North America and Europe, including appearances in the NHL, AHL and KHL. He had previously played for the Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins, among others, and was a consistent scorer in the AHL for several years. His contract situation for the coming season is currently open.

HC Pustertal The American played 44 games in the ICEHL and collected 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists). He was also an important factor in the playoffs and had 9 points (4 goals, 5 assists) in 13 games. The move to Europe took place in the summer of 2025 when he left the AHL organization
Bridgeport Islanders
left. Bardreau previously had NHL experience with the

collected and established himself as a versatile, defensively reliable striker in the AHL over the years. At HC Pustertal he showed strong performances with his partner Henry Bowlby, especially at the beginning of the season. His future for the coming season is currently still open.
Shane Gersich
(C/LW)
For the
HC Bolzano The American was on the ice in 48 games in the 2025/26 season and had 42 scorer points (16 goals, 26 assists). In the playoffs he was unable to contribute a point in 5 games. After his time in Germany with the
