The Red Bulls have extended their collaboration with Peter Hochkofler and are pleased to continue to have the experienced striker in the team. The 31-year-old is on the way back after a season marked by injuries and wants to fully attack again.
Striker with a role model effect
Even though Peter Hochkofler was only able to play eight games last season, he remains an important building block in the Red Bulls’ team structure. His fighting qualities, but also his powerful attacking game and his many years of experience make him a striker who has earned great respect from both his own teammates and the opposing players. Last season he fought back twice from long-term injuries before his final end to the season came on January 16th after a stroke. Hochkofler is now back in full training with accompanying medical measures and wants to find new form next season – his 12th in Salzburg as a professional, and he has been playing in the Red Bulls organization for 16 years. With the Red Bulls he won a total of five titles in the win2day ICE Hockey League.
Statement by Peter Hochkofler
“Mentally, I’ll still have to work on a lot, but other than that I’m doing well. Also thanks to the comprehensive help I received at the Red Bulls in all areas – from physiotherapy to medical care to advanced training at the academy. Now I don’t just want to build on old strengths, I want to really reposition myself physically and mentally and draw new energy from them. I’m happy that things are continuing for me here, Salzburg is now more than just a club for me. And I want to help the team build on old successes again.”
